Normative Data for Vestibular Testing

Would you like to be part of our research study?

We need your help with an eye test routinely used in Audiology patients with dizziness.

What will this study involve?

The test involves focusing on a dot on screen whilst wearing goggles. The goggles analyse your eye movements as you follow the dot.

Where?

Wrexham Maelor Audiology Department.

When?

A 30-minute appointment at your convenience, Monday-Saturday. Study starts September 2023 and ends July 2024.

Are you eligible?

We are looking for people aged 18 to 79, who have no past or current history of dizziness problems.

Why is this study important?

People with dizziness may be seen in Audiology to test their eye movements. We want to study the Gaze test in people who do not have dizziness. Results from this study will allow us to judge what is “normal” and what is “abnormal” when testing our patients.

If you are interested in taking part, please ask Audiology reception for an information sheet or for more information, contact Lois Davies on: Lois.davies2@wales.nhs.uk
