Vaccination Update

Nearly two million COVID-19 jabs have now been delivered to people living and working in North Wales since the vaccination campaigns began.

This massive effort, which has seen about three million appointments being offered since December 2020, has helped to protect our communities and NHS service during very challenging times.

During this latest booster phase of the campaign, about 457,000 appointments have been made available to the 358,000 people that are eligible with more than 240,000 vaccinations delivered, helping to further protect more than 68 per cent of those eligible.

There are still people eligible for a vaccination who have not taken the offer of an appointment, as well as a small group of people who will soon receive an invitation, and we would encourage them all get their booster as soon as possible.

Please attend arranged appointment offered if possible, but if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment then please let us know via the COVID-19 Vaccination Contact Centre by calling 03000 840004 as missed appointments have an impact on our resources.

Drop in Clinics

All sites have now moved to offer drop-in clinics for people who are eligible and have yet to take up their offer for a COVID-19 booster. Details about where and when clinics will be available can be found on our website here.

Appeal to Pregnant Women

We are once again appealing to pregnant women to come forward for their COVID-19 vaccine. For any mother to be, getting their first, second and booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is one of the most important things they can do to protect themselves and their unborn baby against COVID-19.

If you are pregnant the COVID-19 vaccine will help to protect you and your baby from avoidable harm and can be given at any time in pregnancy. You can call the contact centre to book an appointment or attend a drop-in clinic.

Appeal for Over 50s

Thank you to everyone for waiting patiently while we vaccinated the most vulnerable. We are now appealing for all eligible people to come forward for their COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccinations are our strongest weapon against these viruses and ensuring you are protected this winter will not only protect the public but also help the health board during the winter months.
