Our update from October 18

With heavy rain and strong winds forecast, we are advising people attending COVID-19 Autumn booster vaccination appointments to arrive on time and dress appropriately for the conditions.

Please do not arrive early

We are making every effort to keep waiting times at our vaccination centres to a minimum, but patients may still face a short wait to be seen at busy times.

Please help us by attending your scheduled slot and arriving on time for your appointment. Please do not arrive early, as this can increase queuing at our sites and delay appointments for others.

If it is not possible for you to attend your appointment, you will be able to rearrange by following the instructions on your letter.

Your appointment

We are now delivering thousands of COVID-19 Autumn booster vaccines every day in locations across North Wales, and expect to issue many thousands more invitations by post over the coming weeks.

We are sending appointments to people eligible for the vaccine in order of clinical need, as advised by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation.

If you are eligible for a COVID-19 Autumn booster but have not yet received your appointment please do be patient. There is no need to contact us.

Your appointment may be held at a community vaccination centre near your home or at your GP surgery. Your letter will include all the details you need, including date, time and location.

Check your eligibility for the COVID-19 Autumn booster and your flu vaccine

You can check if you are eligible for a COVID-19 Autumn booster and the flu vaccine here.

Where possible, you may be offered your COVID-19 Autumn booster and flu vaccinations at the same appointment. It is safe and effective for you to receive both vaccines at the same time. In most cases, for practical delivery reasons you will be invited to receive the vaccines at two separate appointments.

Please protect yourself this winter – make sure you take up your invitation to receive both your COVID-19 Autumn booster and flu vaccine as soon as possible.
