Vaccination Update - 20th June

As we near the end of the COVID-19 spring booster programme we have opened our vaccination centres to walk-ins. This ensures that all eligible individuals that may not yet have had an invite, have an opportunity to receive their vaccination prior to the closure of the programme on 30 June 2023.

The walk-in clinics are available for people who are eligible for either a COVID-19 spring booster vaccination or still to have their primary doses – although anyone who has not yet had any COVID-19 vaccination at this stage will only be able to receive one primary dose.

Those eligible do not need to book and more details about where vaccinations will be available can be found by visiting our drop in pages.

Housebound residents that have not yet received a booster vaccination, either through recently becoming eligible or being unavailable for pre-arranged appointment, will be able to be vaccinated in a vehicle if they can attend one of our vaccination centres to make it as accessible as possible, as it will be difficult to reach newly identified housebound individuals in this group before 30 June.

The latest phase of our vaccination campaign has been a huge success surpassing the national target of 75%, with about 78 per cent per cent of those people most at risk in our communities having already received their spring booster vaccination. We would like to thank those people who have attended their appointments, the care homes across North Wales who have worked with us to protect residents and our staff and volunteers for all of their hard work.

People who have received an invitation through the post are still encouraged to attend the arranged appointment offered, if possible, but if you need to cancel or rearrange then please let us know via the COVID-19 Vaccination Contact Centre as missed appointments have an impact on our resources.

The COVID-19 Vaccination Contact Centre can be contacted on 03000 840004, which is open 8am to 7pm from Monday to Friday and 9am to 2pm at the weekend.
