Leadership and culture

Having the right leadership and culture throughout the organisation will be critical to the successful delivery of high-quality services for the people of North Wales and for recruiting and retaining staff.

A new Leadership Development Framework is being put in to place to help us develop and attract leaders within the Health Board. Workshops and sessions took place in February, with learning from experts Michael West and Henry Engelhart as we focus on leadership and culture change. Alongside this, a Board Development Programme is being implemented and a new Board induction programme to support new members.

The positive progress that has already been made in terms of leadership and culture has been reflected in the re-review of Board Effectiveness by Audit Wales.
