Badge Scheme

This scheme is for children already referred and known to the Central Children's Occupational Therapy service.

To help motivate some children to participate in practising everyday skills we have introduced a badge scheme where the kids can now earn badges for each skill they achieve independently.

The core badges they can earn:

Zips
Buttons
Shoelaces
Socks
Cutting food up.

However we are able to make customised badges for any purpose or achievement that is appropriate. These are however for attainment of independence in activities of daily living and NOT for intended for behavioural  issues.

The scheme is entirely an on-line exchange between the children's occupational therapy service and the parents - achievement badges will be sent out once the parents inform us that their child has achieved the skill to an appropriate level.

In order to help monitor progress parents will be provided with a customised chart
