Your Space

Your Space is a charity based in Llay Wrexham. Your Space Supports children and families who have additional needs with or without a diagnosis. The service offers counselling support, play and wellbeing activities and parent/carer support, training and advice.

Your Space works closely with other services to get families the right support at the right time. They work with Children and young people who have traits of a Neurodevelopmental Need. This sometimes includes children with Autism and ADHD, however you do not need a diagnosis to get support.

The Venture

Y Fenter | The Venture Wrexham

The Venture is an adventure play ground in Wrexham near the town centre. They offer free play sessions to children and young people and have experienced youth and play workers onsite.

The Venture do provide support to young people who have additional needs including children and young people wit who have traits of a Neurodevelopmental differences. You do not need a diagnosis to access this support and playing outside in the adventure play ground is fun and free in most cases.

The Venture all also the lead organisation for a new project to support children and young peoples mental health and wellbeing, called Mind Our Future, you can learn more at their webpage.

Daffodils

Daffodils is a charity based in Mold in Flintshire. Daffodils provides support for children and families with additional needs and disabilities across the county. They arrange fun activities, support with advice for parents and carers and offer summer holiday clubs and leisure activities.

Art and Soul Tribe

Art and Soul Tribe are a Community Interest Company in Flintshire. They work with Young People through the arts, including music, theatre and fashion to encourage positive mental health and wellbeing. They welcome all young people and aim to celebrate and support how we are all different.

Campfire Cymru

Campfire Cymru - Campfire Cymru

Campfire Cymru is a social enterprise based in Wrexham and Flintshire but who can offer services across North Wales. Campfire Cymru supports young people’s wellbeing through outdoor learning, forest schools and teaches recognised qualification outdoor craft. Campfire Cymru are experienced and skilled in working with young people with Neurodevelopmental conditions and needs. They are accessible and inclusive and work with the whole family to offer support.

Dynamic our a service based in Wrexham that provide services for children and young people with Disabilities. Dynamic provide a range of support for parents, carers and children.  Groups which support with confidence, communication and empowerment are all available. You will need a referral to access the service.

Action for Children are a national Charity but offer local services in Flintshire to support children with disabilities. They provide family support, have respite services through Arosfa and 1.1 support and counselling for children and young people.

NEWCIS

Newcis is a service for parent carers in Flintshire and Wrexham, it can support parents with children with additional needs and disabilities to find the right information, get advice and support and to access respite where needed. In Flintshire Newcis also provides the Young Carers Services for children caring for a parent or sibling to gain support and take part in fun and engaging activities.

Early Help Hub

You can self-refer by calling 01352 701900

The Early Help Hub is run through Flintshire County Council and works with lots of partner organisations to offer support based on what families need. You can put in a self-referral form, which will then go into the hub and all organisation will work together to see what they can do to help.

Through the hub you can receive access to many local services who can help and provide direct support for your family.

FLVC Social Prescribing

To access this friendly confidential service you need to phone 01352 744003

FLVC is Flintshire’s Local Voluntary Council. FLVC works with a number of organisations that can offer help and support. You can get in touch with the service and they can tell you about what local services could help your family based on your needs. They can also put you in touch with these organisations and make things a bit easier to find.

Advanced Brighter Futures in an organisation that supports the mental health and wellbeing of people living in Wrexham. Services are provided for ages 16+ and the organisation always supports and adapts to supporting individual needs.
