People (including children) with a long-term health condition

Flu

To help protect the most vulnerable, anyone aged between six months and 64 years with a long-term health condition which puts them at higher risk of harm can receive a free flu vaccine.

Qualifying health conditions include respiratory conditions (asthma, COPD), heart disease, kidney disease (stage 3,4 or 5), liver disease, neurological disease (Parkinson’s, MND), diabetes, epilepsy, immunosuppression as a result of treatment for eg HIV/AIDS or cancer, asplenia or spleen dysfunction, and obesity (BMI of 40+).

From January 2, all adults eligible for the flu vaccine can drop in to one of our community vaccination clinics to boost their protection without an appointment.

Pre-school children can receive their free, painless, nasal spray flu vaccine at their GP surgery. School age children may receive their free, painless, nasal spray flu vaccine at one of the flu vaccination clinics held in school, or at their GP surgery.

Adults aged 16-plus may receive their free flu vaccine at their GP surgery, or at one of the many community pharmacies that offer vaccination across North Wales. You may need to make an appointment. If you receive an invitation to get your free flu vaccine, please take up the opportunity.
