Lost Hearing Aids

Lost or Damaged Hearing Aid(s)

If you have lost or damaged your hearing aid(s), please contact Audiology to discuss how to get a replacement.

Your hearing aid remains NHS property on loan for as long as you need it. There is a charging policy for lost or damaged hearing aids which will be discussed with you. You will find a copy of the policy in your Blue Book information.

A flat rate fee of £65 will be charged to replace each hearing aid (this includes the ear mould). If you later find your hearing aid, we cannot refund the £65 fee.
There are exemptions to the charge which the Audiologist will discuss with you.

If you feel you should not be charged, you have the right to appeal.
