We’re determined to improve the availability of psychological therapies, and recognise that some people in our communities currently face long waits for support.
This is a challenge we share with NHS mental health providers across the UK, and it is also a priority area for the Welsh Government.
We recently commissioned an external review of the current range, effectiveness and access to psychological therapies in North Wales.
This report found there were many examples of positive and innovative practice being pursued across our services. It also raised some challenging issues that we are determined to tackle together by implementing the report’s recommendations in full.
