Ysbyty Glan Clwyd comes out of Covid outbreak status

A Covid outbreak at one of our general hospitals has been declared over.

Ysbyty Glan Clwyd had been under a tighter visiting regime while it dealt with community and hospital acquired infections.

However the site’s senior management team has declared the outbreak finished, after a period of decline in the number and nature of Covid transmissions.

Vascular staff receive 'special' gift after saving 50-year love affair

An intricate and clever sculpture delivered to each of two vascular service staff signified more than just saving a life for a couple who had been married for 50 years.

The patients of Ysbyty Glan Clwyd’s vascular department, who we have called Mr and Mrs A to protect their privacy, sent the unusual and personal gift to the team members after a lifesaving operation in July this year
