Young people who are eligible for a meningitis B vaccine can walk into one of our community vaccination clinics in Wrexham for their first or second dose without an appointment

You can find more details about the locations of our clinics and the dates and times of walk-in vaccination sessions below. 

The vaccine is available for:

  • all 17 and 18 year olds born between September 1 2007 and August 31 2008
  • young people aged 18 to 25 (born between July 21 2001 and August 31 2007) who will begin a university or residential college course for the first time this autumn

Two doses of the vaccine are required for full protection. You will be given an appointment for a second dose after receiving your first, usually around four weeks later. Please make sure you receive both doses. 

If you were born on or before August 31 2007, please bring evidence that you are due to begin the first year of a university or residential college course this autumn (eg a copy of your offer or provisional offer letter). Young people who have missed other recommended vaccinations may also be offered the opportunity to catch up at these clinics.

To make a vaccination appointment, rearrange an existing appointment, or for any other enquiries, please call the Vaccination Contact Centre on 03000 840004 or email BCU.SROCovid19VaccinationProgramme@wales.nhs.uk. The contact centre is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. It is closed at weekends and on bank holidays.

 

Plas Gororau Vaccination Centre, Wrexham

Drop-in vaccination clinics for young people will take place at Plas Gororau on the following dates. 
Clinics will close for lunch between 12.50pm and 1.45pm.

  • Friday October 2, from 10am to 5pm
  • Tuesday October 6, from 10am to 5pm
  • Wednesday October 7, from 10am to 5pm
  • Thursday October 8, from 10am to 5pm
  • Tuesday October 13, from 10am to 5pm
  • Wednesday October 14, from 10am to 5pm
  • Tuesday October 20, from 10am to 5pm
  • Wednesday October 21, from 10am to 5pm
  • Thursday October 22, from 10am to 5pm

At busier times, people dropping in without an appointment may be asked to wait a short time until a slot becomes available.

 

 

Ramada Hotel

Drop-in vaccination clinics for young people will take place at the Ramada Hotel in Wrexham on the following dates. 
Clinics will close for lunch between 12.50pm and 1.40pm.

  • Thursday November 5, from 10am to 5pm
