Exercise is a great way of releasing the unwanted muscle tension caused by having too much adrenaline in our bodies when we are stressed and anxious. Exercise is also a good way for the body to make serotonin which is the body’s own feel good hormone and acts as an anti-depressant and helps raise your mood.
Government guidelines suggest that adults between 19 and 64 should be doing at least 2 ½ hours of moderate exercise a week. You do not need to go to the gym and come out sweating buckets. It’s about putting in a little more effort than you would normal do, such as walking a little faster. Moderate exercise includes a brisk walk, dance, pushing a lawn mower, hiking or doing the housework. Though of course ANY exercise it good exercise.
