Antenatal Clinic

This clinic is for pregnant women who require a consultant opinion, or need specialised monitoring or care. They are held on Wednesday afternoons in the Ivor Lewis Building and your community midwife will advise you where this is situated.

Celyn Ward (Antenatal and Postnatal ward)

You will go to Celyn ward if you stay in hospital after giving birth. You will also stay at this ward if you are admitted before you have your baby. 

Please pack for one night as there is minimal storage available on the ward. Partners can always bring extra things for you if you stay longer.

There is a security system in place and following the birth of your baby an electronic tag is placed on your baby’s ankle. It is important that you do not leave the ward with this on as it will trigger an alarm system.

How to get there:
Park in designated visitors car parks and follow signs to the Maternity Unit. If you feel that you are not able to walk that far you may be dropped off outside the main entrance where wheelchairs are available and follow signs to maternity which is on the first floor. Take the lift or stairs.
