Ysbyty Gwynedd switchboard operator prepped for skydive in memory of his partner

A switchboard operator at Ysbyty Gwynedd is taking on a skydive in memory of his partner who sadly passed away.

Seven years ago, Tammy Winters passed away from cystic fibrosis at the age of just 30-years-old after living with the disease all her life.

Her partner, David Griffith, described her as full of life and said she would be fully supportive of his impending challenge.

He said: “Tammy was an extremely caring person and always put everyone else first – she was always looking after the rest of the family.

“She was always up for everything so I know she’d be really keen for me to do the skydive!

“I don’t like heights at all so I am very nervous about it but at the same time I am excited as well!”

David, from Bangor, will take part in the skydive on Sunday, 2 August, to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

“The charity did so much for Tammy. They even helped with funding towards setting up the home to cater for her needs, they were just brilliant.

“This is my way of saying thank you to them for all they did and also help others living with Cystic Fibrosis,” added David.
