Everyone aged 65 or over will be offered a COVID-19 booster vaccine
We will write to you to offer an appointment for your COVID-19 booster vaccination. Your appointment may take place at a vaccination centre near your home, at your GP surgery or at a nearby community pharmacy.
Everyone aged 65 or over can attend a scheduled appointment or drop-in at one of our vaccination centres without an appointment.
If you would like to book an appointment, please contact our Vaccination Contact Centre on 03000 840004 or email BCU.SROCovid19VaccinationProgramme@wales.nhs.uk.
The COVID-19 booster vaccine is available to everyone aged 65 or above, and anyone who turns 65 on or before March 31, 2025.
People aged 65 or over who are housebound will be offered a COVID-19 booster vaccine in their own homes. The health board or your GP surgery will contact you to make arrangements for your appointment.
To help protect against serious illness caused by flu, everyone aged 65 or over will also be offered a flu vaccine this autumn. How to get your flu vaccine.
Where possible, you may be offered a flu vaccine at the same time as your COVID-19 booster vaccine. Trials have shown it is safe and effective for you to receive the vaccines at the same time.
To help protect against serious illness caused by RSV, older people (including residents in care homes for older adults and people who are housebound) will be offered an RSV vaccine following their 75th birthday from September 2024. Catch-up RSV vaccinations will be offered to people aged 75 to 80 in the coming months. More information.
Please take up the offer of these vaccines to help reduce the risk of serious illness caused by flu, COVID-19 and RSV this winter.
