People at highest risk of serious illness will be offered a COVID-19 vaccine this autumn
COVID-19 continues to circulate in Wales, and is more likely to cause serious illness for older people and people with a weaker immune system.
If you or your loved ones are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine, please make sure you have topped-up your protection. COVID-19 vaccines are quick and very safe, and reduce your risk of serious illness and hospital admission.

This includes everyone in North Wales who will celebrate their 75th birthday on or before January 31 2027. More information about patients who are eligible because of weaker immunity is available here.

Adults eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine will be contacted by their GP surgery or the health board to offer a vaccination appointment, or may attend a clinic advertised by their surgery. Most adults will be offered a COVID-19 vaccine at their GP surgery at the same time as their annual NHS flu vaccine.
Patients registered at the small number of GP practices which are unable to deliver the COVID-19 vaccine may be offered an appointment at one of the health board’s community vaccination clinics or a local community pharmacy.
Our teams will arrange to vaccinate people who live in care homes for older adults with care home managers. We will also contact people who are housebound to arrange vaccination.
COVID-19 vaccines will usually be offered to patients around six months (and a minimum of three months) following their last dose.
The Autumn COVID-19 vaccination campaign will end on January 31 2027.
