Fruits and vegetables

Fruits and vegetables provide a range of vitamins, minerals and fibre and you should aim for 5 portions a day. Include a range of colours to help keep meals and snacks interesting and to give you a good mix of the different nutrients they have to offer. Fresh, frozen, tinned and dried can all count. Remember to wash all fresh fruit and vegetables. Juiced fruits and vegetables or smoothies can be included, but only count as 1 of your 5 a day portions (limited to a 150ml serving).
