The Rheumatology Unit provides specialist clinics including an early access inflammatory arthritis clinic, inflammatory back pain clinic, connective tissue disease and vasculitis clinic and a combined respiratory clinic.
This service provides information and guidance to support you with your treatment. There is a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, pharmacist, occupational therapists and physiotherapists as well as access to podiatry.
Patients can choose to have their bloods monitored as part of their treatment at their local surgery. The service provides follow up appointments to ensure a patient's condition has not changed. If there are any condition changes, a patient will be seen by a doctor. Patients can contact the Rheumatology Advice line for advice if there are any condition changes between appointments.
