Children’s Occupational Therapy supports children to meet their developmental milestones and overcome barriers to support them to partake in daily occupations. We promote and support children to be independent by breaking down tasks and supporting children to learn in a way that works for them. For children that have difficulty learning new skills, we can provide alternative methods to complete tasks or suggest adaptive equipment to enable the child to achieve their goals.
The Children’s Occupational Therapy service can support children within the communities of Wrexham and Flintshire. We are based within the Wrexham Child Health Centre. Our Occupational Therapy service is divided into three specialist teams. Click on the relevant service to find out more about the different areas we can provide support.
