The North Wales Community Neurorehabilitation Service

The remit of the North Wales Community Neurorehabilitation Service is to provide specialist inter-disciplinary neurorehabilitation to people with acquired brain injury living in the North Wales community.

The service aims to optimise functioning and improve quality of life by working together with the person, and their family, towards meaningful goals. As part of our neurorehabilitation programme, we offer evidence-based interdisciplinary assessment, formulation, goal-based intervention and review.

We aim to increase the person’s understanding of their brain injury, support adjustment, help with development of compensatory strategies, increase independence, and promote community and vocational reintegration.

We provide individual and group based intervention as required based on the person’s rehabilitation goals.
