We provide emotional and practical support to families experiencing the loss of their baby.
Our Snowdrop Bereavement team is a specialist team of midwives who offer bereavement support to parents and families who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss in North Wales.
We support families that have experienced pregnancy loss at all gestations and can support losses of babies up to 28 days postnatal.
While you're in hospital, you will meet a member of our Snowdrop Bereavement team who will continue to support and guide you and your family during this difficult time.
Although our team aren't counsellors, we will offer a safe space to talk through your grief and the reality of life after loss. We offer the following support:
The Snowdrop team is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. You will be provided with the contact details for our Snowdrop team during your time at the hospital.
We encourage you and your family to meet with our bereavement midwives at the earliest opportunity so we can begin supporting you through this difficult time. We understand loss can be overwhelming and you may not be ready for all the information right now. If you and your family decide you are not ready to receive support from our bereavement midwives, you will be provided with our details to contact us at a later date if you change your mind, or require any additional information.
