Our final round of invitations for Autumn COVID-19 vaccines will be sent to patients across North Wales this week.
Eligible patients who have not already received an appointment from the health board will be sent an invitation to attend one of our community vaccination clinics.
Eligible patients who have not had the annual NHS flu vaccine will also be offered this vaccine at the same time. We ask all patients who have an existing vaccination appointment at their GP surgery in the coming weeks to keep their appointment as planned.
Our letters will invite eligible patients to attend a morning or afternoon vaccination session, rather than an appointment. This will help our teams to vaccinate patients as quickly and efficiently as possible.
As a result, patients may face a short wait until a vaccinator becomes available. We will do all we can to keep waits to a minimum.
We encourage patients to check their invitation letter carefully, as the location of the clinic they are invited to may be different from previous vaccination campaigns.
How to contact our Vaccination Contact Centre
We encourage everyone eligible for the Autumn COVID-19 and annual NHS flu vaccines to have them as soon as possible to help to reduce their risk of serious illness this winter. We also urge older people and pregnant women to come forward for their one-off RSV vaccine when invited.
All members of the public can help to protect the health of North Wales by taking simple steps to avoid passing on illness during the winter months. Find out more about how to Stay well this winter.
