Advice on how to look after yourself

  • Try to stay connected by developing a virtual support network of friends, family and/or health professionals who can offer  support over the phone or online
  • Involve your partner in day-to-day care of your baby and household chores.
  • Try and organise your routine so you get some rest and time for yourself. Use this time to relax or do something you enjoy
  • Talk to someone you trust about your feelings: sharing your concerns can really help!
  • Avoid speculation and look for information from reputable sources
  • Manage how you follow the outbreak in the media
  • Take it a day at a time
