This can be a really anxious time for you too. It’s understandable that you might be worried about your partner and your baby, and finding lockdown hard.
You may have experienced a change in the way that maternity services are being delivered, which you may be finding challenging. It’s important to remember that this period will not last forever, and by staying at home you are protecting yourself, your partner and your new baby.
It’s also important for you to look after your mental wellbeing. Whilst it is well known that some mums experience depression, anxiety and other mental health problems in pregnancy and after birth, it is less known that dads and partners can experience mental health problems at this time too.
If you are finding things difficult at the moment or are worried about your mental health, please speak to your GP. Talking and sharing your concerns with someone you trust can also really help to make a big difference.
