Mandy Giddins, a Urology Nurse Specialist at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, receives a British Empire Medal for voluntary and charitable services to young people with cancer.
Mandy set up the Giddo's Gift charity in memory of her late son Jordan who lost his battle with Ewings Sarcoma in 2017, and to help other young people - and their families - who are going through similar battles.
Mandy said: "I'm just very, very proud and it's a great way to keep Jordan's name and memory alive. He deserved a medal of his own. This medal is not just for me, but for the whole team at Giddo's Gift. The messages of congratulations I've received have been fantastic and I can't thank people enough for them."
The charity provides grants and gifts for teenagers and young adults suffering from cancer within Wales and North West England.
It has raised more than £400,000, donating more than £50,000 to research into childhood cancer.
