Update on Executive Leadership: Chief Operating Officer

We are pleased to share the news that Tehmeena Ajmal has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer.

Tehmeena has a wealth of experience working in healthcare, local authorities and the third sector and will join the Health Board in March 2025.

After starting a career in community development in Bolton, followed by learning and development at Manchester City Council, Tehmeena joined the NHS in 1994. Since then, Tehmeena has taken on a range of leadership and improvement roles in acute, community and mental health services.

In 2012, Tehmeena joined Oxford Health NHSFT, initially as Head of Quality and Risk, and subsequently in a range of operational before leading the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, setting up the mass vaccination programme across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and West Berkshire.

Since 2022, Tehmeena has been the Chief Operating Officer at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust running mental health, children’s and community services.
