Your flu vaccine

To reduce the risk of serious illness, people at higher risk from flu are offered an NHS flu vaccine each year

The NHS flu vaccination programme for 2025/26 has now ended. Further details about the 2026/27 programme will be updated here later in the year.

The best way to protect yourself and your loved ones against flu is to get the annual NHS flu vaccine. The vaccine can prevent you getting flu, reduce the severity of symptoms if you do, and help to prevent you passing it on to other vulnerable people.

Flu vaccines are quick and very safe. They can prevent weeks of serious illness, and protect you, your family and the wider community.
