Orthotics – Patients assessed as at urgent need are contacted to arrange appropriate advice and/or consultation as indicated.
The services remain open to provide advice to patients seeking support - both urgent and non-urgent patients.
Currently the restart for routine review patients is suspended until the backlog of fittings from prior to the pandemic have been addressed.
Podiatry – Emergency face-to-face appointments are available to patients with Urgent Active Foot Disease and to those at high risk of developing ulcers; however, this service is available at a reduced number of sites. We are also inviting patients for telephone review appointments where appropriate.
We are planning to restart services for those we have assessed to be at high medical risk and acute or high podiatry need, commencing in September and October, and will be contacting these patients directly. The call centres are not currently able to book appointments for patients not identified in these groups.
