Youth Leadership

We are making sure the voices of children and young people are heard in how we deliver services day to day.

We have a commitment to improving patient experience by listening, engaging and consulting with children and young people, parents and carers within all aspects of service improvement, care and support and communication.

We wish to engage with children, young people, parents and carers in the planning, development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of services. To be able to achieve this we are developing (alongside young people) the right processes, safety considerations, training and support needed to ensure that children and young people, parent and carers are able to engaged and involved across North Wales.

As a child or young person, you can get involved in many aspects of service delivery from interviewing staff, delivering training, consulting on new or improving services and sharing your experiences to support how we change. Engagement can be a great way for children and young people, parents and carers to learn and develop new skills, gain experience for their future employment, 'give back' to an organisation and help their local community. The organisation can also benefit from the time, support and skills that children and young people, parents and carers can offer, particularly as their own experiences are invaluable.

Youth Leadership is currently being developed. Further information will be added as the youth leadership opportunities are developed.
