Urtha, is an individual with a background of working within the third sector leading projects across North Wales for 35 years. Urtha has worked in partnership with health and social care services, supporting vulnerable people in ill health, living with homelessness, and fleeing violence. Her work has also spanned the education sector in Further Education, Higher Education, and in the community.
Urtha is currently engaged in policy development with NASUWT the Teachers Union, with Social Care Wales as Chair of Fitness to Practice Panels, and as a lecturer with the Open University in law for social workers. Urtha has championed citizen and service user engagement in service design, delivery, and monitoring in all her work. She has Chaired the Posture and Mobility Service User Engagement Group, held the role of Walton Centre Governor, Vice Chair of the Wales Neurological Alliance, Co-Chair of the north Wales Social Value Forum and trustee for a number of third sector organisations. Urtha holds an MA in Criminology and Social Policy, and Post Graduate Diplomas in Law, and in Health Care Leadership.
