Gareth Evans is originally from Anglesey and graduated as a Podiatrist from the Cardiff Metropolitan University in 1989.
Gareth is the Acting Executive Director of Therapies and Health Science in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. His 30 year NHS career to date has been spent in a number of different clinical, managerial and leadership roles across North and Mid Wales spanning the allied health professions, specialist medicine and community services. Gareth was appointed into his substantive post as Clinical Director of Therapy Services in August 2017 with a responsibility to maximise the contribution of the therapy professions to the delivery of health and care services in North Wales before taking the opportunity to step into the Acting Executive Director role in March 2022. During his career he has studied and gained a MBA and a MProf and is keen to encourage more clinical staff to participate in research. Gareth is married with two children and now lives in Denbighshire. He is a keen road cyclist and rugby enthusiast.
