Gareth Evans is from Anglesey and graduated as a Podiatrist from the Cardiff Metropolitan University in 1989.
Gareth is the Clinical Director of Therapy Services in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. His 30 year NHS career to date has been spent in a number of different clinical, managerial and leadership roles across North and Mid Wales spanning the allied health professions, specialist medicine and community services. Gareth was appointed as Clinical Director in August 2017 with a responsibility to work across all the divisions within the organisation, and with partners, to maximise the contribution of the therapy professions to the delivery of health and care services in North Wales. During his career he has studied and gained a MBA and a MProf and is keen to encourage more clinical staff to participate in research.
Gareth is Chair of BCUHB’s Healthcare Professionals Forum. He is also a member of the Welsh Therapy Advisory Committee and the National Joint Professional Advisory Committee.
Gareth is married with two children and now lives in Denbighshire. He is a keen road cyclist and rugby enthusiast.
