Mental Health Legislation Committee

The purpose of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board's Mental Health Legislation Committee has a very narrow remit, which is to consider and monitor the use of the Mental Health Act 1983 (MHA), Mental Capacity Act 2005 (which includes the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) (MCA) and the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010 (the Measure) and provide assurance to the Board.

Governance, leadership, quality and safety matters relating to mental health fall within the remit of the Quality, Safety and Experience Committee.

The  Annual Workplan sets out the Committee's working practices including the requirement for a Cycle of Business (CoB), the latest version for consideration is available in the agenda bundle 11.1.24 below
