We are now able to offer some appointments by video. This means you can connect with your healthcare professional via video call (similar to Skype or FaceTime) using your computer, tablet or smartphone.
To use Attend Anywhere you will need:
- A good internet connection. If you can watch a video online (e.g. YouTube) you can make a video call. If you are having problems please click here for troubleshooting guide
- You should use either Google Chrome or Safari web browsers as unfortunately this service will not work with Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge
- A web-camera, speakers and microphone already built into your computer, laptop or mobile device (smartphone or tablet)
- To carry out a test before your appointment. This is to make sure that your device and internet works. Use the device that you plan to use during your appointment (i.e. your smartphone, tablet or computer) You can make a test call here.
Consent for a video appointments:
- By joining the call you are consenting that you are happy to proceed with the video consultation - If you do not want your consultation conducted by video, please contact the number on your appointment letter
- The healthcare professional will check that you are happy to proceed on video at the start of your appointment
- Information will be transcribed into your patient health record following on from the consultation
- No information is stored or recorded on the Attend Anywhere system and is completely secure
