We are a small team of mental health professionals from different backgrounds who are based at the hospital in Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. We are available 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm. We work with you following a referral from the Emergency Department and we would have a chat with you to see how we or other people can support you with your mental health difficulties.
We will work with you and support you to complete a safety plan that will help to reduce any thoughts or triggers you may have so you can feel more in control. The safety plan may include ideas for:
Self-soothing boxes and a really good way of supporting you to keep as calm as possible and refocus your mind on what matters to you- sensory toys, things you like the smell of, photos, blanket, nice memory items, snacks, pens and paper for doodling or writing thoughts and feelings, face masks and hand creams etc.
