More than 200 high-risk and Emergency Department staff from Glan Clwyd Hospital are receiving their COVID-19 vaccinations.
Staff started receiving their vaccinations yesterday, with more vaccinations due to take place today and tomorrow.
June Davies, an Emergency Department nurse practitioner, said: "I've worked here for 30 years, and the last year has been really hard work, but it's good to know we're hopefully getting toward the end of all of this.
"The whole booking in and getting seen system has worked really well, and everyone I've spoken to has god a good feeling about this vaccine."
Senior staff nurse Ramil Cahilo said: "I got my text message saying I'm eligible on Friday and booked in right away.
"I'm excited about it. There's been so much negative thinking about COVID, I'm glad to be here and get a chance to go for the vaccine. I just think this is good news for everybody"
Dawn Stead, Healthcare worker on the Medical Day Unit "I was shielding from March until August, and since then I've been moving around to non-patient facing roles as I can't have patient contact.
"When you're trained to take bloods or cannulate people, it's really hard to be in the hospital but not able to do what you're trained for. I really just want to get back to normal.
"I'm a people person, so I can't wait to get back to my proper job role, which hopefully this vaccine will help me do."
