Welsh Government are seeking to appoint an Independent Member (Finance) to help shape the future of health and care services across our region here in North Wales.
Our Independent Member (Finance) will bring financial rigour to those discussions, in relation to budget-setting, performance, and providing assurance on our financial planning and reporting. They will have highly developed financial acumen and substantial budget management experience, with recent relevant financial experience and / or a recognised accountancy qualification. They will also be responsible for chairing the Health Board’s Audit Committee.
This is a unique opportunity to bring your financial expertise to the Board of the largest health organisation in Wales. As an Independent Member, you'll play a vital role in holding the Health Board to account, supporting good governance, and ensuring financial stewardship on behalf of the people we serve.
We’re looking for someone with a strong finance background, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for public service.
