Contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

About us

PALS provides information, advice and support to resolve any issues or concerns that arise from using our services. The team can support everyone accessing our services including inpatients, outpatients, carers and families.

PALS can help you get the information and support you need regarding your care and treatment.

You can talk to a PALS Officer who can provide confidential advice and support to patients, carers and families.

Our PALS team works with patients and staff to improve our service by:

  • Offering advice and support to patients and carers
  • Listening to concerns and queries
  • Helping to sort out problems quickly on your behalf
  • Receiving compliments from grateful patients who wish to thank staff

What to do if you have concerns…

First, raise your concerns ‘locally’ with the ward (via the Ward Nurse Manager) or  service as this will often result in a timely and satisfactory resolution.  Please be assured this will not affect your care or treatment in any way.  If you feel the matter has not been resolved, please contact PALS on 03000 851234 or you can email us at BCU.PALS@wales.nhs.uk

Our opening hours are 0900 – 1700 Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays)

Information we will need from you when you contact us

  • Your name, address and telephone number
  • Patient’s name, address and date of birth

Patient's Consent – If you are making enquiries on behalf of a patient, we will require their consent to be able to share information about them with you.  If you cannot provide consent, please let us know why and a decision will be taken to see if the enquiry can proceed.

COVID-19 enquiries

If your enquiry relates to COVID-19 vaccinations, then please visit our COVID-19 Vaccination Information page for up to date local vaccination information and the latest updates on vaccine eligibility, or email BCU.SROCovid19VaccinationProgramme@wales.nhs.uk.
