Paolo Tardivel

Interim Executive Director of Transformation and Strategic Planning

Previously, as Director of Transformation and Improvement at the Health Board, Paolo has been pivotal  in embedding transformation initiatives, designing The Betsi Way Improvement Methodology, and coordinating the organisation’s response to Level 5 Escalation status (Special Measures). His ability to foster strong relationships has been key to driving meaningful change.

Paolo was appointed as Interim Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Transformation in March 2025. With a proven track record in strategic transformation and operational excellence across both public and private sectors, he brings expertise in large-scale transformation, predictive analytics, operations, customer experience, and developing commercial strategy to deliver complex organisational change.

Previously, Paolo held senior leadership roles at Openreach and BT, leading large-scale change programmes and successful operational improvements. With a collaborative approach and strategic foresight, Paolo brings experience in data-driven decision-making, programme management, and stakeholder engagement.

A proud North Walian and fluent Welsh speaker, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching rugby, and travelling.
