School In-Reach

North Wales CAMH School In-Reach Service 

Your school plays an important role in supporting children and young people as well as themselves to have good mental health and wellbeing. We call this Early Help.

The North Wales Child and Adolescent Mental Health School In-Reach Service (or CAMH School In-Reach Service for short), work as a team providing support to education staff in your school to build their knowledge and skills. While we work alongside CAMHS, we don’t offer appointments to children and young people as it is our job to support your school so they can support you as well as themselves as teachers and education staff. 

The adults who work with you in school sometimes notice when you need a little extra support. 

At these times as adults we don’t always know the best ways to support you.  

The Education Mental Health Practitioner can spend time with those adults around you in school to think together about what might help. You may experience this in different ways such as having extra support at difficult times, by giving you time to talk to them about the things that are worrying you, or helping you to access other services. The North Wales CAMH School In-Reach Service knows how important your education is and will support you to gain the most from your lessons, your friends, and learning new skills to cope with day-to-day life.
