If you’re an existing patient having problems with your hearing aid, please see our self-help guides.
The BCUHB Children’s Audiology service provides Audiology services (hearing testing and management of hearing loss) for children living in North Wales.
If you have concerns regarding your child’s hearing and would like a referral for a hearing test by Audiology, please discuss your concerns with your child’s GP, Health Visitor or School Nurse who can discuss your concerns and make a referral to our service as necessary.
The Paediatric Audiology service supports the delivery of the school entry hearing screen across North Wales and North Powys. We work closely with our school nursing teams to offer a hearing screen service to all children who turn the age of five. For those attending schools this will take place at their school in their reception year. For those who are home educated, you will be contacted to arrange an appointment.
The Paediatric Audiology service in North Wales and Powys is overseen by three main hospital sites. Hearing assessments and hearing aid reviews or repairs are by appointment only. For some hearing aid repairs we can offer drop-off/collection or postal options.
If you are having difficulties with your child’s hearing aid, you can find advice and tutorials on hearing aid maintenance and fault finding on our self help guides.
To re-arrange an appointment or if there are problems with your child’s hearing aid or earmould, please contact us:
