A bike shelter is provided on the service road just around the corner from the Emergency Department (A&E) entrance.

The hospital is located approximately two miles from Bangor Station. A number of bus services from Bangor City Centre operate via the Train Station and onwards to Ysbyty Gwynedd.

Ysbyty Gwynedd is well served by frequent bus services. Direct buses from Holyhead, Menai Bridge, Beaumaris, Llandudno, Bangor, Bethesda, Llanberis, Caernarfon, Porthmadog, Dolgellau and Aberystwyth.
By car: Leave A55 at junction 9 and turn left at the end of the sliproad. At the roundabout, take third exit towards Penrhosgarnedd. At the junction (JLS Garage directly opposite) turn left onto Penrhos Road. Ysbyty Gwynedd is located approximately half a mile on the right.
