Nursing support workers celebrated at Llandudno Hospital

The contribution of nursing support staff has been celebrated at Llandundo Hospital.

As part of Nursing Support Workers Day (November 23), the hospital’s management team created a mural to celebrate the efforts of their colleagues.

Nursing Support Worker covers a range of different jobs and roles, including Health Care Support Workers, Assistant Practitioners, Nursing Associates and Health Care Assistants.

Wendy Tee, Matron of Llandudno Hospital, said: “Nursing Support Workers are an integral part of all of our nursing teams and have been invaluable support through the COVID-19 pandemic.

“HCSW across all departments have had to adapt to working differently and with PPE, which in itself can be challenging.

“Here at Llandudno Hospital, three of our Healthcare Support Workers will soon be undertaking their shortened BN nursing course.

“The dedication that these staff show makes a real difference to patient care thank you all for your hard work and commitment.”
