The League of Friends is a charitable organisation who support and improve the care and comfort of the patients, visitors and staff. They can be found at Abergele Hospital Glan Clwyd Hospital and Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
The Wrexham Maelor Hospital League of Friends was founded in 1968. Their objective is to raise funds to purchase equipment, often specialist, when hospital funding is unavailable. The equipment is used within the Wrexham Maelor Hospital for both inpatient and outpatient use.

Abergele Hospital League of Friends are a group of ordinary people from many walks of life who volunteer their time and energy to provide help and fundraise. Their Executive Committee meets each month to consider the needs of patients and the hospital and donates money to help purchase equipment.

The League of Friends was formed as a charitable organisation in 1974. Since those early days, the League has evoked from relatively small beginnings to what is by now, a substantial undertaking, running a shop, tea bar, sales table and having special events throughout the year.
Volunteers whose loyalty and support enable us to provide a high-quality service to thousands of patients, hospital staff and visitors and enable us to donate many items of equipment to our hospital on an annual basis.
