Justine Parry (Acting) Chief Digital and Information Office (CDIO)
Justine Parry was appointed the Acting Director of Digital, Data and Technology on the 8th December 2025.
The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate brings together digital, data intelligence, records, information security and the digital programme management functions which support the Health Board move to a more digitally enabled environment, using data at the heart of decision making and improving the experience for the population of North Wales.
Justine is a qualified Data Protection Specialist, with over 29 years' experience in the NHS in North Wales. Having spent most of her youth in Swansea, Justine joined the NHS in 1996 as a computer clerk with a GP practice in Wrexham, before moving to the Health Authority IT Team in 1998. Between 2004 and 2011 she was responsible for Information Governance and Corporate Governance at Wrexham Local Health Board and provided broader support to the Director of Finance across matters of Corporate Governance, Risk and Assurance.
Justine has a keen interest in systems and process management and in 2011 she was appointed as the first Head of Information Governance for BCUHB, leading the work to draw together and harmonise the Information Governance, Data Protection and Freedom of Information processes from the eight predecessor organisations. In 2015 she was appointed to the post of Assistant Director of Information Governance and Assurance.
At a national level Justine has chaired the Wales Information Governance Advisory Management Group Board and led the development of a system for coordinated responses to Freedom of Information requests made to multiple NHS Wales organisations as well as being a founder member on the development and implementation of the Wales Accord on Sharing of Personal Information (WASPI).
Justine is committed to team, staff and personal development, and throughout her career has completed a wide range of business management learning and specialist qualifications relevant to her roles.
Outside work she enjoys a range of sporting and outdoor pursuits with her family.
