Leadership announcement: Executive Director of Finance

Russell Caldicott, our Executive Director of Finance has been successful in gaining a new role as Chief Finance Officer at University Hospital of North Midlands and will be leaving the Health Board at the beginning of October 2026.

Russell has been with us for the past three years, joining the Health Board at a particularly challenging time. While we continue to face challenges, there has been significant progress in strengthening our financial governance and improving performance during that time.  Russell has played a key role in driving that improvement, and we are grateful for his significant contribution to the organisation.

We would like to thank Russell for his leadership and commitment over the past three years and wish him every success in his new role.
