Pregnant women

All pregnant women will be offered a COVID-19 booster vaccine as part of their routine pregnancy health checks

This vaccine will help protect mums-to-be from COVID-19 at a time when a pregnant woman’s immune system is naturally weakened.

Pregnant women can have the COVID-19 booster vaccine at any time during their pregnancy. For maximum protection for you and your baby, please get vaccinated as early as possible this autumn.

If our records show you are pregnant, we will be in touch to offer an appointment. Your appointment may take place at a vaccination centre near your home, at your GP surgery or a local community pharmacy

Pregnant women can drop-in at one of our vaccination centres without an appointment. If you already have a scheduled appointment then you can choose to keep your appointment as planned.

If you would like to book an appointment, please contact our Vaccination Contact Centre on 03000 840004 or email BCU.SROCovid19VaccinationProgramme@wales.nhs.uk.

Pertussis, flu and RSV vaccination

To help protect their unborn babies from complications and potentially serious illness, women will also be offered vaccination against pertussis (whooping cough), flu and RSV during pregnancy

If you have not received the RSV vaccine, it may also be offered at your COVID-19 vaccination appointment.

Please take up the offer of these vaccines to help reduce the risk of serious illness this winter.
