Flu

Flu is a respiratory illness affecting the lungs and airways. Getting the flu is much worse than getting a cold, and it can result in more serious health consequences for certain groups in the population. The single best way to protect against the flu is to get the annual flu vaccine. The vaccine can also reduce the severity of symptoms should you still get the flu.

REMEMBER… If you think that you, your child, or another family member are eligible for the vaccine and have missed it, contact your GP, Pharmacist, School Nurse, Midwife or Health visitor for advice and to arrange a vaccination. Also, make sure you take up the offer the following year.
