Recipe Book

We have designed a Children’s Rights Based Recipe Book in partnership to act as a useful resource to organisations across North Wales in building rights based approaches into practice. The Recipe Book shares valuable learning and key insights from children and young people about what matters to them and what they feel are the key ingredients in creating environments where they feel their voices are heard, their wellbeing is nurtured and their rights are protected.
It is our hope that the words and works of children and young people captured will inspire you, as they have inspired us, to consider children’s rights and to be reminded of the important role we as adults have in ensuring we hear their voices and provide them with opportunities to influence how our systems and communities develop here in Wales, now and for future generations.

The Recipe Book is made up of five sections, all looking at what matters most to children and young people about kindness, their communities, adults and their health and wellbeing. To see what they told us, check out the sections below:
